This magazine's purpose is to focus intelligent discussion on directions in music since 1968. When Miles Davis was asked the name of the 38-minute tune he and his band had just performed for the 600,000 people gathered at the Isle of Wight, he said "call it anything." Literal-minded discographers have persistently entitled the tune "Call It Anything" ever since... So a secondary purpose for this blog is to give me a place to write about anything I have on my mind, and call it anything.
