New Return To Forever anthology available May 27th
To coincide with the Return To Forever reunion tour, Concord Records is releasing a new 2-CD collection called Return To Forever: the Anthology. It doesn't appear there is any new material, although I would be shocked down to the soles of my shoes if there wasn't just a bit of previously unreleased material... what else could you sell to those of us RTF fans who have the original CDs? Emmy-winning engineer Mick Guzauski (Eric Clapton's Back Home) is remastering the tracks. Will the remastered versions sound better? We've all heard enough "new and improved" remastered originals to know that beauty is in the eye (and ear) of the beholder. If you are new to the RTF ouvre and haven't got these recordings already, the track listing looks like a good, representative cross-section. Also recommended, if you can find it, is the Verve 2-CD compilation Return To The Seventh Galaxy.
